The telecom division of TRAK Microwave Ltd, part of the Smiths
Interconnect Wireless Technologies Group, announced today that it will join its sister
businesses (Summitek Instruments, Triasx and Allrizon Communications ) under the
single new brand of KAELUS.

“As part of Interconnect’s Wireless Technology Group, the Telecom division of TRAK
Microwave Ltd has benefited from working with other businesses with the same market
focus,” said John Wilson, Business Manager, TRAK IWT. “The new brand will provide a
truly global scale to ensure excellent service to our customers around the world.”

“This new structure allows us to maximize value to our customers,” said Jacqui
McLaughlin, President of Kaelus. “The new Kaelus brand represents a unified business
able to more efficiently deliver a wider range of RF and microwave products and test
solutions to network operators and wireless OEMs worldwide.”

The name Kaelus comes from the Latin word “caelum” meaning sky. Kaelus represents
